Preparationforstorage
Thefollowingprocedureapplieswhenthemachineistobestoredforamonthormore.Storethemachineonrm,
levelground,insideabuildingor,ifnotpossible,outsideandcoveredwithatarpaulin.Ifstoredoutsideinfreezing
temperatures,parkthemachineonplankstopreventthetracksfromfreezingtotheground.Beforestoringthema-
chine:
1.Cleanthemachine.
2.Retractthearmcylinderrodasfaraspossible,and
lowertheattachmenttotheground.
3.Greasethemachinethoroughly.Theexposedsurfaces
ofthecylinderrodsshouldbegreasedorcoveredwith
aprotectivelm.Seeyourauthorizeddealer.
NOTE:Whenthemachineresumesservice,thelmwilldisappearautomatically
4.Drainthefueltank,andllwithamixtureof90%diesel
fueland10%anti-corrosiveoil.Runtheengineatidle
speedforveminutestoallowtheanti-corrosiveoilto
reachthelines,lters,pumpandinjectors.
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilsump,ll
withanti-corrosiveoil,andreplacetheengineoillter.
6.Whentheengineiscold,cleantheexposedengine
components.
7.Cleanorreplacetheairlterelement.
8.Drainthecoolingsystem.Leavethedrainvalvesopen,
anddonottightentheradiatorcap.
9.DraintheDEF/ADBLUE®tank.
10.Removethebatteries.Cleanthebatteryhousing.
Makecertainthatnotracesofbatteryacidremain.
Storethebatteriessafelyinacoolanddryloca-
tionwherethetemperaturewillbehigherthan0°C
(32.0°F).
11.Paintanyareasofthepaintthatshowssignsofdete-
rioration.
12.Plugtheairlterinletandtheexhaustpipe.
13.Removethestarterswitchkey,andplaceaDONOT
OPERATElabelontheright-handcontrolarm.
14.Lockthehoodsandthecabdoor.
