Prioroperation:
Keepallunauthorizedpersonnelclearofthearea.Parkthemachineonlevelground,inneutralwiththeparkingbrake
applied,andtheattachmentloweredtotheground,turnofftheengine,removethekey,andverifythatenginecom-
ponentshavecooledoravoidcontact.Makesurethatallresidualpressureisrelievedfromcircuitsbeforebeginning
maintenance.
1.TheDEFtankmeshlterislocatedwithintheneck
oftheDEFlltube.OpentheDEFllcompartment.
CleantheareatobeservicedinordertopreventDEF
tankcontamination.

2.RemovetheDEFcap.Removethehexscrewswithan
Allenwrench.

3.RemovethetanklterassemblyandtheO-ringfrom
theDEFtankneck.Rinsethetanklterwithwater
4.ReinstalltheO-ringontheDEFtankneckwiththera-
diussurfacefacingup.
5.Reinstallthetanklterassemblysecuringitwiththe
hexscrews.
6.Ifthetanklterhasbeendamaged,replacethetank
lter.Toreplace,separatethetanklterandtanew
tankltertotheassembly.
7.Insertassemblyintoorice.Attachtheassemblyusing
withthehexscrews.
