1-GENERALINFORMATION
CaliforniaEmissionControlWarrantyStatement
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandFPTIndustrialS.p.A.arepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystem
warrantyonyour2014engine.InCalifornia,newheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesmustbedesigned,builtandequipped
tomeettheState'sstringentanti-smogstandards.FPTIndustrialS.p.A.mustwarranttheemissioncontrolsystemon
yourenginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenance
ofyourengine.
Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthefuelinjectionsystemandtheairinductionsystem.Also
includedmaybehoses,belts,connectorsandotheremission-relatedassemblies.
Whereawarrantableconditionexists,FPTIndustrialS.p.A.willrepairyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengineatnocostto
youincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
MANUFACTURER'SWARRANTYCOVERAGE:
The2014andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesarewarrantedfor5yearsor3000hours,whichevercomesrst.If
anyemission-relatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyFPTIndustrialS.p.A.
OWNER'SWARRANTYRESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Astheoff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyour
owner'smanual.FPTIndustrialS.p.A.recommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyouroff-
roadengine,butFPTIndustrialS.p.A.cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailureto
ensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.
•
Astheoff-roadengineowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethatFPTIndustrialS.p.A.maydenyyouwarranty
coverageifyouroff-roadengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapproved
modications.
•
Yourengineisdesignedtooperateon(fuel)only.Useofanyotherfuelmayresultinyourenginenolongeroperating
incompliancewithCalifornia'semissionsrequirements.
•
Youareresponsibleforinitiatingthewarrantyprocess.TheARBsuggeststhatyoupresentyouroff-roadengine
toaFPTIndustrialS.p.A.dealerassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedbythe
dealerasexpeditiouslyaspossible.
