This chapter tells how to safely remove and insert removable
drives and how to care for them when they are out of the drive
bays. The “Using Boot Management” section at the end of the
chapter tells how to change the drive boot sequence.

The MultiBay also supports a battery pack; for information,
refer to Chapter 5, “Using Battery Packs.”
■
You can secure devices in the hard drive bay and the MultiBay
by using one of the single-bay security screws or dual-bay
security screws included with the computer. For information,
refer to “Securing Devices in the Hard Drive Bay and
MultiBay” in Chapter 13.
■
You can disable the computer’s diskette drive controller,
diskette drive write ability, and diskette boot ability. For
information refer to “Disabling Devices” in Chapter 13.
■
You can add additional drives to the system by inserting them
in an optional ArmadaStation or Armada MiniStation.
