This chapter identifies the external connectors on the computer
and tells how to connect the following external options:
PS/2-compatible keyboard, numeric keypad, mouse, or other
pointing device
Parallel device, such as a printer or SCSI adapter
Serial device, such as a serial mouse or printer
Monitor or overhead projector
Infrared-equipped device that is InfraRed Data Association
(IrDA)–compliant
For information about connecting a modem, refer to Chapter 8,
“Using a Modem.”
For information about connecting PC Cards, refer to Chapter 9,
“Using PC Cards.”
For information about connecting audio equipment, refer to
Chapter 10, “Using Audio Components.”
For a list of external options available for the computer, refer to
the online Options Catalog or the printed Options flyer included
with the computer. Refer also to “Worldwide Telephone
Numbers” in Appendix A for the nearest Compaq authorized
dealer, reseller, or service provider.
