Dual Display Settings
In Windows 95, the computer’s dual display technology (two
graphics controllers) allows you to set an external display
resolution and/or refresh rate different from the fixed internal
display settings when in simultaneous mode. Before the external
display settings can be changed, the Color Palette on the Settings
tab must be set to 256.
When the external and internal displays have different resolution
and/or refresh rate settings in simultaneous mode, the following
conditions are true:

When the Desktop Area on the Settings tab is the same as the
larger
Resolution setting, panning is enabled on the display
with the smaller setting.
■
When the Desktop Area on the Settings tab is the same as the
smaller
Resolution setting, centering/expanding is enabled on
the display with the larger setting.
■
Optional Zoomed Video PC Cards cannot be used.
■
Hotkey popup windows appear on only one screen, usually the
internal display.
Enabling Energy-Saving Features
You can enable an energy-saving monitor to go into a low-power
mode following a screen save timeout. This low-power mode is
compatible with network PC Cards or a network connection on an
optional ArmadaStation. To access the Energy Save Monitor
checkbox, do one of the following:

In any operating system, turn on or restart the computer and

F10
when the cursor appears upper-right on the screen.

NOTE:
If you enable monitor energy-saving features and the
external monitor is
not
an energy-saving monitor, the display may
become distorted when screen timeout occurs.
