Inserting a Diskette Drive or CD-ROM Drive into
the MultiBay
To insert a diskette drive or CD-ROM drive into the MultiBay:
1. If you are using Windows 95, save your work, exit all
applications, and turn off the computer.
NOTE
: If you are using Windows NT, it is not necessary to turn
off the computer before inserting a diskette drive or CD-ROM
drive into the MultiBay.
2. Remove the diskette from the diskette drive or the CD from
the CD-ROM drive. Ensure that the CD tray is closed.
3. Slide the drive into the MultiBay with the bezel facing out
until it clicks into place.
Inserting a Drive into the MultiBay
While a CD is inserted in any CD-ROM drive in the system, a
default setting prevents the system from initiating Suspend.
User-initiated Suspend is not affected. To change this setting, refer
to “Initiating Suspend” in Chapter 4.
NOTE:
You can secure the drive in the MultiBay with one of the
single-bay security screws or dual-bay security screws included
with the computer. For information, refer to “Securing Devices in
the Hard Drive Bay and MultiBay” in Chapter 13.
