Pressure Gauge
The steam pressure gauge is located behind the front panel and displays
current steam tank pressure.
Heating Elements
The steam tank contains two 1500 watt - 38
(ohm) heating elements.
The heating elements are wired in parallel, so when reading the
resistance you will see approximately 19
. One pair of solid state relays
control the voltage to the heating element.
Pressure Relief Valve
30psi
The pressure relief valve functions as a safety relief valve.
If the pressure in the water tank exceeds 30psi, the pressure relief valve
opens to release excess pressure. A drain hose is routed from the
pressure relief valve to the drain tray.
NOTE: Do not use the safety relief valve to release pressure from the
steam tank. This weakens the valve and will cause the valve to fail.
High Temperature Limit Switch
260°F (127°C)
In the event that the steam tank should overheat, the high temperature
limit switch cuts the 24Vdc control signal to the solid state relay, which
opens the circuit to the heating elements.
