5.6.2 Removing blocking of the needle thread tension
Automotive:
Blockable
adjusters
Machines with blockable adjusters are used especially in the
automotive sector. With these machines the blocking must be
removed before the sewing foot pressure can be adjusted.

1. Loosen the fastening screws (1).
2. Remove the retaining plate (2).
3. Adjusting the needle thread tension
( Section 5.6.1 Adjusting the needle thread tension,
Page 38).
4. Fit the retaining plate (2).
5. Tighten the fastening screws (1).
5.6.3 Opening the needle thread tensioner
ECO machines:
The needle thread tensioner is automatically opened when
the sewing foot is lifted via the knee lever.
CLASSIC machines:
The needle thread tensioner is automatically opened when
the thread is cut.
