Particulate filter
The particulate filter is a Teflon 5 micron (µm) filter with a diameter of 47 mm. This filter elim-
inates all particles larger than 5 µm that could interfere with sample measurement.
CO/CO
2
converter
The CO/CO
2
catalytic converter uses platinum impregnated alumina beads heated to 90°C
as a conversion agent. The catalyst achieves conversion of 0 to 200 ppm CO to less than 0.1
ppm CO, even in the presence of up to 2 % water.
Optical cell
The optical cell consists of the following components:
IR source
The IR source emits broadband infrared radiation that irradiates the filter in the correlation
wheel.
