10. Disposal
WARNING:
In the unlikely e
vent of a failure of the pump rotor, there may be some dust created
from the rotary components inside the pump touching each other. In this event use
appropriate personal protecve equipment when handling and disposing of the
pump and ensure that all pump inlets and outlets are capped o before disposal.
Take appropriate acon to avoid inhalaon of any parculates which may be present
in the pump. Do not incinerate the pump.
A HS2 form must be completed if returning the pump to us.
Dispose of the pump and any components and accessories safely and in accordance with
all local and naonal safety and environmental requirements.
Parcular care must be taken with any components that have been contaminated with
dangerous process substances.
Take appropriate acon to avoid inhalaon of any parcles that may be present in the
pump.
Do not incinerate the pump. The pump contains phenolic and uorosilicone materials
that can decompose to very dangerous substances when heated to high temperatures.
