iTEMP TMT162 Operating menu and parameter description
Endress+Hauser 95
4. Enter the reference temperature for the value at the start of the measuring range for the Sensor trimming
lower value parameter. Based on the difference between the specified reference temperature and the
temperature actually measured at the input, the transmitter internally calculates a correction factor which is
now used to linearize the input signal.
ß
5. Using a water/oil bath, bring the sensor connected to the transmitter to a known and stable temperature
close to the set end of the measuring range.
ß
6. Enter the reference temperature for the value at the end of the measuring range for the Sensor trimming
upper value parameter.

7. End

Description Use this function to select the linearization method to be used for the connected sensor.
The original linearization can be restored by resetting this parameter to the Factory
setting option.
Options Factory setting

Factory setting Factory setting
Sensor trimming lower value
Navigation Expert → Sensor → Sensor n → Sensor trimming → Sensor trimming lower value
Prerequisite: The Customer-specific option is enabled in the Sensor trimming parameter→  94 .
Description Lower point for linear characteristic calibration (this affects offset and slope).
User entry Depends on the selected sensor type and the assignment of the current output (PV).
Factory setting -200 °C
Sensor trimming upper value
Navigation Expert → Sensor → Sensor n → Sensor trimming → Sensor trimming upper value
Prerequisite: The Customer-specific option is enabled in the Sensor trimming parameter.
Description Upper point for linear characteristic calibration (this affects offset and slope).
