6. Follow the following steps according to the model.
C8: Remove the Joint #4 reduction gear unit.
For details, refer to Removal steps in C8 Maintenance 8.2 Joint #4
– Replacing the Reduction Gear Unit.
C8L, C8XL:
Remove the Arm #4 extension flange.
C8XL does not have the J4 sleeve on the Arm #4.
Hexagon socket head cap bolts: 12-M3×18
7. C8, C8L:
First, remove the J4 sleeve holder.
Then, remove the J4 sleeve.
Hexagon socket head cap bolts: 4-M3×6
The J4 sleeve is adhered with gasket and
may not be removed easily.
If the part cannot be removed, pull the sleeve while rotating it.
Handle the sleeve with care since it is thin and easy to deform.
