4. Remove your new color ink cartridge from its package. Then
remove the yellow tape from the cartridge.

Caution:
❏ You must remove the yellow tape seal from the cartridge
before installing it. The cartridge will be permanently
damaged if installed with the yellow tape attached.
❏ Do not remove the blue portion of the tape seal from the
top of the cartridge; otherwise, the print head may
become clogged and cannot print.
❏ Do not remove the tape seal from the bottom of the
cartridge; otherwise, ink will leak.
5. Place the ink cartridge gently into the cartridge holder with
the label on the cartridge face up. Then press the ink cartridge
clamp down until it locks in place. Do not press down on the
cartridge itself.
