Printer Mechanism Operating Principles
Printing Assembly
The printing assembly consists of the print head unit with nine vertical wires, and the parts
shown in Figure 2-1.
Print head unit movement
When the carriage motor is driven, the gear wheel turns in the direction indicated by the arrow
, and the carriage feed pulley and carriage drive belt transmit the driving force so that the
head carriage fastened to the carriage drive belt moves in the direction of the arrow . When
the carriage motor turns in the direction indicated by the arrow , the head carriage moves in
the direction of the arrow .
