2.3.2 Conveyor
Overview
Usually a conveyor is used for inline systems to
chain up various machines
(e.g. stencil printer,
-&-place equipment, oven)
The conveyor within the machine is divided into
3 independent stages (segments):
• (1) Input / output stage (depending on
mode)
• (2) Center or Process stage
• (3) Input / output stage (depending on
mode)
On each stage one workpiece can be buffered.
The middle stage is the process stage where, for
example, dispensing or SMD assembling will
take place.
The conveyor, equipped with belts, provides various modes:
Inline: left to right (downstream)
Inline: right to left (upstream)
batch: left to center to left
batch: right to center to right
The conveyor system is controlled by sensors and works automatically.
Conveyor Extension
The input/output stages can be extended at 250
mm, 500 mm or 750 mm. The extension is
screwed on the input/output stage and uses the
motor of the stage. The existing belt of the
input/output stage has to be exchanged with a
belt of t
he correct length.
