Bottom Vision Box
The main purpose of the bottom vision box is to
measure optically the picked component on the
pick up tool. Position and orientation will be
gathered. This a
llows to calculate the necessary
offset in case of a misalignment for a perfect
placement of the component. Additionally, leads
or other geometrical data of the package can be
tested.
For an optimal illumination the vision box
contains 300 power LEDs desi
gned as two
independent ring lights (flat light / steep light)
and it contains a direct light (coaxial light). All
lights are fully controlled by the software.
Top Vision
ose of the top vision is to detect
the various fiducial positions on Printed Circuit
Boards (PCB) or other substrates. Further on it is
used for calibration purposes.
• to detect position (X/Y) and orientation
(rotation) of the workpiece by means of
fiducials.
• to detect badmarks and badchecks on
multiple printed panels.
The top vision consists of a high
-resolution video
camera and a direct illumination system
controlled by the software.
