Chapter 8: Special Scanning Modes
Register again
This option is available for scans that were registered successfully or
registration failed.
A dialog pops up when you tap the right arrow. Tap Confirm if you want to
register the scan again. The scan is registered again and the registration
status is displayed as Unknown until the process is completed.
Remove scan from map
This option is available for scans shown in the map that were registered
successfully.
A dialog pops up when you tap the right arrow. Confirm to remove the scan
from map. The scan is removed from the map. However the scan is not
deleted and the scan status will later show as ‘Registration Failed’.
Delete scan
This option is only available for all scans that are not In Progress.
Tap the right arrow to view the Delete scan dialog is shown. Confirm to
delete the scan. The scan is deleted from the cluster or project.
8.3 On-Site Compensation
On-Site Compensation process is a procedure to test and improve the angular
accuracy of the scanner using SCENE software.
8.3.1 Preparing the Compensation Station
Site Setup
Before you begin the On-Site Compensation process, ensure that the scan
site has the following facilities:
Target sheets must be setup at the scan site at regular distance to the laser
scanners between 1.5 m to 3 m.
No windows or other reflective planes: The markers on the target sheets
would be reflected if the scan site has any windows or reflective surfaces.
This can cause incorrect measurements.
On-Site Compensation is only available on Focus
S
models.
