Auxiliary power supply
Supply the inverter from an external power source. Keep the auxiliary power supplied
constantly to prevent condensation in the inverter. Protect the supply according to local
regulations with fuses or fault current breakers. Do not connect other equipment to the
inverter without consulting with FIMER.
As standard, the PVS980-58 is equipped with terminal 0X14 for connecting the external
230 V AC auxiliary power supply. The auxiliary power consumption of the inverter is 4 kVA.
The connection terminals are in the customer I/O section. The maximum size for the
phase, neutral, and ground cabling is 2×50 mm
2
(that is, you can connect the power
supply between several inverters from parallel connected terminals).
The external auxiliary voltage supply must be protected with a maximum of 125 A gG type
fuse or similar, also when the same supply is connected to several inverters. The
maximum short-circuit withstand strength of the auxiliary voltage circuit in the inverter is
1 kA /1 s.
As an option, inverter can be provided with the internal auxiliary voltage supply and with a
2 kVA 1-phase output. In that case, there is terminal block 0X13 in the customer I/O
section instead of the 0X14 terminal. The maximum wire size for the phase, neutral and
ground of the output is 6 mm
2
.
The option codes related to the auxiliary supply connections:
+G397 external auxiliary voltage level 115 V AC
+G396/+G397 1-phase output 100/115 V AC (only with +G415)
+G415 internal auxiliary voltage supply
+G410 2 kVA 1-phase output for fixed installation
+E203 external auxiliary connection includes EMC filtering
