Planning the electrical installation 69
With the blind plates, the maximum cable size is restricted by:
• The DC cabling area (bottom plate width is 725 mm), where the cable lead-throughs
must be installed in one line. The actual size of the lead through restricts the opening
in the frame to 149×715 mm.
• The alignment between the cable lead-throughs and the DC cable connection
terminals
Connect the cables straight. The maximum cable size is 400 mm

.
Note: All DC cables must be equal in length.
AC connection
The AC connection can be made with AC cables to the connection plates and cable lead-
throughs, or to the busbars (with option +G317).
• Use compression cable lugs with 1 or 2 holes.
• The connection plates are tin-plated metal.
• Connect no more than three cables to each AC connection plate. There are three
connection plates for each phase.
• Use only the recommended bolts, nuts and washers.
• Obey all indicated torques.
The AC connection plates have three rows of three connection holes. Each connection
hole has a diameter of 13 mm. The maximum width of adjacent AC cable lugs is 53 mm.
For M12 bolts, tighten the electrical connections to 70 N·m.
If you plan to use cable lugs that have two holes, make sure that they fit the AC connection
plate. If you use cable lugs that have one hole, you can connect them to any of the holes in
an AC connection plate.
