Planning the electrical
installation
This chapter contains the instructions on how to select the electrical components and
connections for the inverter.
Limitation of liability
The installation must always be designed and done according to applicable local laws and
regulations. FIMER does not assume any liability whatsoever for any installation which
breaches the local laws and/or other regulations. Furthermore, if the recommendations
given by FIMER are not followed, the inverter may experience problems that the warranty
does not cover.
Selecting the transformer
Transformers designed for photovoltaic applications are available for purchase through
FIMER. Galvanically isolate each inverter from other inverters, and from medium and low
voltage networks with a dedicated transformer or winding. If you intend to connect
inverters in parallel, contact FIMER for more information. FIMER recommends a
transformer designed for the installation environment, compliance with power transformer
standard IEC 60076 and testing according to the converter transformer standard for
industrial applications IEC 61378-1. Obey all country-specific requirements.
