44 Operation principle and hardware description
Type designation key
The type code tells the specification and configuration of the inverter:
• The first 19 digits are the basic code, which describe the basic construction of the
inverter. The fields of the basic code are separated with hyphens.
• The option codes follow the basic code. Each option code starts with an identifying
letter (common to the product series) and is followed by descriptive digits. The option
codes are separated by plus signs.

Basic code
PVS980 IEC version standard features
58 = cabinet-built central inverter, IP66/IP56, CE marked according to Low Voltage and
EMC directive, solar inverter firmware, blind bottom entry and exit plate for cables, coated
circuit boards, with:
AC side: AC main contactor, aR fuses, temporary grounding terminals on output busbars,
floating (IT) AC output, AC mains surge protection type 2
DC side: 8 pcs of DC input busbars + and -, DC main contactor, temporary grounding
terminals on input busbars, maximum DC voltage 1500 V DC, negative DC pole
functionally grounded (fuses only on the non-grounded terminals), DC surge protection
type 2
Auxiliary power: External auxiliary power input 230 V AC, buffered for LVRT
Functions: Control panel ACS-AP-I, grid support functionalities, fast power off button,
ground fault/insulation monitoring for IT networks
