Operation principle and hardware description 47
F300 DC Surge arrester,
high energy, Type
1, complies also
with Type 2
The standard Type 2 surge arresters are replaced with high-energy Type 1
surge arresters that also fulfill Type 2 requirements.
F305 DC disconnector The inverter has manual DC disconnectors (one per power section). The
disconnectors are meant for isolation purposes. Refer to Selecting the DC input
disconnecting device on page 59.
0F291 No DC fuses.
Inverter delivered
without DC fuses
(with empty slots).
The inverter has no DC fuses installed. Instead, they need to be installed when
performing the installation at the site.
F317 DC contactor with
high durability
As standard, the inverter is delivered with DC contactors, which can break
currents up to 4 kA. With option F317, the inverter is delivered with DC
contactors, that can break currents up to 10 kA (one contactor per power
section).
G417 DC input current
measurement from
each DC input
All DC inputs have dedicated current sensors to measure the input current.
This can be used for additional protection and monitoring and is sometimes
referred to as “zone monitoring”.
G420 Input fuse blown
indicator (one
common signal per
power section)
The DC fuses have micro switches that indicate a blown fuse. The micro
switches of each power section are connected in series, meaning that only one
warning per power section is signaled to the user. To find out which fuse has
actually blown inside the power section, visually examine the fuses.
Auxiliary power options
G415 Internal auxiliary
power (internal
auxiliary power
transformer)
The inverter has internal auxiliary power transformers that supply auxiliary
power to the inverter. The transformers are connected to the inverter output
voltage level.
G410 1-phase 2 kW
customer auxiliary
power output from
terminal block (only
with +G415)
The inverter has 1-phase 2 kW auxiliary power outputs for external devices. At
the 230 V AC auxiliary voltage there is 10 A circuit breaker for the terminal
block and a 10 A/30 mA residual current circuit breaker for the socket outlet. At
the 115 V AC auxiliary voltage level (+G397), the current rating of the circuit
breaker for the terminal block is 20 A and at the 100 V AC auxiliary voltage
level (+G396), the current rating is 25 A.
Although there are 2 outputs (socket & terminal block), the permitted maximum
combined power is 2 kW. This can be used, for example, to supply power to a
laptop or other low power equipment.
Note: Options +G396 and +G397 are available only on the IEC inverter
model.
G429 Terminals for
external auxiliary
transformer max.
32 A fuse
(delivered with
max. fuse rating)
Protected 3-phase output terminals for connecting an external auxiliary power
transformer. The voltage level for the connection is the inverter output voltage
level. The connection is protected with 32 A/30 A (IEC/UL) fuses. Different
fuses are available as an engineered option (+P902).
G430 Terminals for
external auxiliary
transformer 35…63
A fuse (delivered
with max. fuse
rating)
Protected 3-phase output terminals for connecting an external auxiliary power
transformer. The voltage level for the connection is the inverter output voltage
level. The connection is protected with 63 A/60 A (IEC/UL) fuses. Different
fuses are available as an engineered option (+P902).
G396 Auxiliary power
level 100 V AC
The auxiliary power voltage level is changed to 100 V AC. This is possible only
with the internal auxiliary power transformers (+G415).
Note: Option +G396 is available only on the IEC inverter model.
G397 Auxiliary power
level 115 V AC
The auxiliary power voltage level is changed to 115 V AC. This affects both the
standard external auxiliary power input and the optional internal auxiliary power
+G415 (and also with +G410).
Note: Option +G397 is available only on the IEC inverter model. It is
included in the UL approved model as standard.
