5.14.4 TLS/HTTPS
You can enable the Secure Socket Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol, which protects
camera settings and user name/password information. The HTTPS protocol uses SSL/TLS for secure IP
connections between the camera and a web browser over HTTP.
To use HTTPS on the camera, an HTTPS certificate must be installed. The HTTPS certificate can be
obtained either by creating and sending a certificate request to a CA or by creating a self-signed HTTPS
certificate. For more information, see Certificates
.
