13.1 Waypoints
Waypoints are used to mark specic locations or
points of interest. Waypoints can be used in the
Chart, Radar and Sonar apps. Your MFD can store
up to 3,000 waypoints which can be sorted into up
to 100 waypoint groups.
In the Chart app you can navigate to a waypoint by
selecting Goto from the Waypoint context menu.

Waypoints in the chart application
In the chart application both active and inactive
waypoints are shown. An active waypoint is the one
that you are navigating to.

3 Alternative waypoint symbols
The default waypoint symbol is a red ‘X’. Alternative
symbols can be used if required.
Waypoints in the radar application
In the radar application both active and inactive
waypoints are shown. An active waypoint is the one
that you are navigating to.

Waypoints in the Sonar application are represented
by a vertical line labelled WPT.
Waypoints and SideVision
When viewing SideVision
channels waypoints are
represented by waypoint symbols and can be placed
from the context menu.
Waypoint (MOB) button / icon
Depending on the multifunction display variant
there will be either a Waypoint (MOB) button or an
onscreen icon.
