16.19 Radar modes
Radar modes enable you to quickly select
pre-congured settings to achieve the best picture
for certain situations.
The Radar Mode can be selected from the Radar
application’s main menu.
Note: For Non-HD Digital Radomes refer to Auto
Sea Mode settings.
Gain Modes Description Radar Type
Buoy Mode that
enhances the
detection of
small objects like
mooring buoys. It
is useful at ranges
up to 0.75 nm.
SuperHD
Open Array
HD Open Array
HD Radome
Harbor
Default mode that
takes account of
land clutter so that
smaller targets,
like navigation
buoys are not lost.
All
Costal
Mode that
accounts for
slightly higher
levels of sea
clutter that might
be encountered
out of the harbor
and adjusts the
Radar display
accordingly.
All
Offshore
Automatically
adjust for high
levels of Sea
Clutter.
All
Bird (1)
Mode that helps
identify ocks of
birds, useful when
identifying suitable
shing locations.
SuperHD
Open Array
HD Open Array
HD Radome
Weather Mode that helps
optimize the
display to identify
precipitation.
Quantum
Note: (1) Requires a HD Radome, HD Open Array
or a SuperHD Open Array with software version
3.23 or above.
