Important: Under normal circumstances you will not need to adjust these settings, as they are set
automatically. If these parameters are set incorrectly the performance of the Radar will be adversely
affected.

Bearing
Alignment
All The Radar bearing alignment ensures that Radar
objects appear at the correct bearing relative to
your boat’s bow. You should check the bearing
alignment for any new installation.

The length of cable used to connect the Radar to
your MFD may have an effect on display timing.
This will affect the short range accuracy of the
Radar. A symptom if incorrect timing is that
bridges or piers will appear to be bent or bowed.

MBS
All
Main Bang Suppression (MBS), when set to Off,
suppresses the display video for the duration of the
transmission pulse. Under certain circumstances,
it may be easier to adjust Display Timing with MBS
turned Off.
Note: MBS is reset to On automatically when
you nish adjusting the display timing.

Radar tuning is controlled either automatically or
manually using the Tune Adjust control. However,
this only controls a restricted range of tuning
values. If the actual peak falls outside this range,
you will need to adjust the Tune Preset to move
the controlled range over the tuning peak.

The Sensitivity Time Control (STC) can be
adjusted to equalize target levels across the
display. The default setting should provide an
even display, but if you nd that targets are
brighter or dimmer nearer the center than at the
edge of the display, you can adjust this control
until the required display is achieved.

Transmit Freq
Quantum If you are experiencing interference on the Radar
picture you can use the Transmit Frequency
setting to change the transmission frequency
range of the Radar.
