Customizing databoxes in the chart application
To switch databoxes on and off and to select data to
display follow the steps below.
From the Chart application menu:
1. Select Presentation.
2. Select Overlay.
3. Select Databoxes.
4. Select Databox 1 > On.
5. Select Databox 2 > On.
6. Choose the Select Data option for the relevant
databox.
7. Select the category that reects the type of data
you want to display in the databox. For example,
Depth data.
8. Select the data item.
The data you selected is displayed onscreen in
the appropriate databox.
Active Captain
The ActiveCaptain setting allows you to view
ActiveCaptain
community sourced content
available on compatible C-Map cartography.
The following C-Map cartography is compatible with
ActiveCaptain:
C-Map 4D MAX
C-Map 4D MAX+
The chart cards may come pre-programmed with
ActiveCaptain content or existing chart cards can be
updated on the C-MAP web store.

Enabling ActiveCaptain
To enable ActiveCaptain content on your compatible
C-Map cartography follow the steps below.
From the Overlays menu (Menu > Presentation >
Overlays):
1. Select ActiveCaptain VAD: so that On is
displayed.
The ActiveCaptain icons will now be displayed
in the Chart application.
Viewing ActiveCaptain content
With ActiveCaptain enabled you can view details
about community sourced content.
From the Chart application:
1. Select an ActiveCaptain icon and open the
context menu.
2. Select Chart Objects.
3. Select the relevant object from the Chart Objects
list.
Details about the object are displayed:
The Source will be ActiveCaptain.
4. Selecting the object’s lat/long eld will close the
details page and centre the object on the Chart
screen.
