In case your network only supports explicitly
authorized devices, your network administra-
tor will require the MAC address of your
PostBase Vision. You can find the corre-
sponding MAC addresses in the “Manage
Connection” menu.
Reference Information for Network
Administrators
PostBase Vision requires a network connec-
tion, with a minimum of 10 Mbit/sec, in order
to able to download postal funds from a Fran-
cotyp-Postalia server.
Ethernet cables of class CAT5E are recom-
mended.
For this it normally uses TCP/IP (v4 only)
through an https connection using TLS v1.2
over port 443. In certain cases it may also
use an http connection over port 80.
These two ports must therefore be enabled in
any firewall. It will attempt to make a connec-
tion to *.francotyp.com.
Proxy-Authentication
(only when Proxy = Enabled)
Access control to the proxy server (user name
and password).
D
ISABLED
(default setting)
Select this setting if your proxy server does not
require authentication (user name and pass-
word).
E
NABLED Select this setting if your proxy server does
require authentication.
You will need to enter the following parameters:
– User name for proxy access
– Password.
