13 Synchronizing
Due to postal requirements, the data must be synchronized with Francotyp-Postalia
at regular intervals to operate the PostBase Vision mailing system. PostBase Vision
automatically synchronizes all important data or reports when the data must be syn-
chronized. You only have to make sure that the set up connection (LAN or Wi-Fi) is
always available. In addition, you can also start the synchronization manually if
required. This chapter describes the available menu functions.
• Make sure PostBase Vision has a network
connection.
• Open the M
ENU.
•Select S
YNCHRONIZE.
PostBase Vision offers various functions for
synchronizing the data in the S
YNCHRONIZE
menu. They are displayed and explained in
the table below.
• Select the desired function.
PostBase Vision displays information about
the status and purpose of the selected func-
tion.
• Start synchronizing the data with Y
ES.
The connection setup, data transfer, as well
as testing and update processes run auto-
matically. You can follow the progress of the
process on the display.
Synchronize – possible functions and their meaning:
STATUS Display – Date and time of the last data
synchronization.
S
YNC ALL Complete data synchronization.
PostBase Vision performs all synchroniza-
tion operations consecutively. This may take
several minutes.
