7.3 Upgrading the System Firmware
To upgrade the system rmware, you need to have the following les. In addition, you need to use a
computer and USB cable.
• CE6000-lite_Vxxxx CE LITE-50 rmware
• SEND.EXE Utility to transfer les using Windows®
• OPS662 USB Driver software for CE6000
Preparation
Install the USB Driver software to your computer before upgrading the system rmware.
How to upgrade the system rmware
(1) Connect the computer and the CE LITE-50 via the USB interface.
(2) Connect the AC cable to the AC outlet while pressing the power button.
Release the power button when the following screen appears.
(3) Execute SEND.EXE to send rmware to the plotter from the computer.
Select the system rmware le from the SEND.EXE menu.
Select CE LITE-50 from the output menu. (Select the type of le to all les when select the rmware
le.)
(4) Output the system rmware le to the CE6000.
NOTE: Do not turn off the power during upgrading the rmware.
(5) When the operation panel is displayed as shown below, unplug the AC cable from the AC outlet.
(6) Leave more than 20 seconds, and then turn on the CE LITE-50.
(7) Conrm that the system rmware has been upgraded on the “Advance” in the menu screen.
