9.3 Cutting Operations
Symptom Verication Items Solution
The cut line is crooked.
(1) Is there any paper dust or chip
on the tip of the cutter set?
Remove the blade cap and clean it.
(2) Does the blade turn smoothly in
the cutter set?
Replace the cutter set.
(4) Do the X and Y drive belts have
the correct tension?
Adjust the tension of the belt(s).
There is a uncut line.
(1) Is the blade extended too far? Adjust the blade length.
(2) Is the cutting force too low? Adjust the cutting force.
(3) Is the cutting speed too fast? Adjust the cutting speed.
The media on the corner
is turned up.
(1) Is the blade extended too far? Adjust the blade length.
(2) Is the cutting force too high? Adjust the cutting force.
(3) Is the tip of the blade snapped? Replace the cutter set.
The sharpness of corner
is not enough.
