MAPLA- Modular energy supply system for load lifting magnets
Operation
Operating in Normal or Material handling mode[A]
6.7.2 Release load (switch o lifting magnet)
> Move the lifting magnet with the suspended load into the position for
releasing the load.
> Briey press the control button.
LED 2on the MMI goes out and the LED 3light is out for the duration of the
automatic quick magnetisation.
y The lifting magnet is de-magnetised.
y The load drops from the lifting magnet.
Note
If the control button is pressed again during quick
demagnetisation (LED 3lights up), quick demagnetisation is
stopped. The demagnetisation of the lifting magnet is resumed
at “normal” speed, i.e. the demagnetisation takes considerably
longer.
Alternatively, on newer MMI variants, you can choose whether
during the automatic demagnetisation procedure pressing on
the joystick again will activate astop or whether to switch on the
magnet again right away (quick re-activation).

Note
On arange of MMI variants (e.g.“INT MSF), the operator can
choose whether to allow the material to drop slowly initially by
pressing and holding the joystick button. If the button remains
pressed for release, LED 3will light up. From the time of the
release, automatic demagnetisation of the lifting magnet is
started and LED 3lights up. The material now drops completely
at precisely the specied time. In this way it is possible to
position and release the loaded material precisely. The strength
of the demagnetisation can be nely adjusted.
