MAPLA- Modular energy supply system for load lifting magnets
Operation
Operating instructions
6.2 Operating instructions
The iMAPLA system oers the highest levels of eciency in material handling
as aresult of the quick magnetisation and demagnetisation times. As aresult,
the time for the full magnetisation of the large lifting magnets can take up to
4seconds.
For ensuring maximum eciency when working with the iMAPLA system,
do not switch on the lifting magnet after the lifting magnet is placed onto
the material to be lifted and not while it is still in the air. In this way, ahigher
load attachment with impulse excitation is achieved as aresult of the quick
magnetisation used in the iMAPLA system as the material (induced by
ahigher acceleration) on the lifting magnet is compacted higher.
Procedures when switching the lifting magnet on and o.
Ö Function description, page23
Follow the operating conditions and only operate the system under these
operating conditions.
Ö Operating conditions, from page 46.
NOTE
y If aMMI with radio modem is used, adelay of approx. 0.1-0.5secs may
arise between the pressure on the operator pushbutton and the response
of the system due to technical reasons.
y There are MMI versions without aswitching option in Jog mode. In this
case, the switch on the right-hand side of the MMI is missing. In the MMI
description, check whether the “Jog mode” function is available.
Danger
Danger to life through falling loads!
y
Suspended loads which fall mean an accident risk with danger
to life.
Never walk or remain under suspended loads.
Always observe the regulations of the trade association.
Never switch on the lifting magnet when it is not needed
for the work.
