MAPLA- Modular energy supply system for load lifting magnets
iMAPLA system description
Special properties
4.3 Special properties
The main distinguishing features of the iMAPLA system are as follows:
y Particularly fast and precise power development on the lifting magnet
through quick magnetisation with impulse excitation.
y Extremely quick demagnetisation through automatic demagnetisation
with countervoltage and sequence pulsation.
y Simple assembly of and exible installation in combination with all
common drive systems.
y Maintenance-free thanks to brush-less electronically controlled generator
and self-protecting electronics system (in the event of disconnections,
short circuit and loose connections).
y Controller adapts to dierent plate sizes automatically (Plug&Play”
installation).
y Visual display of all important functions and operating states on the MMI
control unit.
y Integrated insulation monitor with the reporting of insulation faults.
y Optional use of analogue measurement outputs and free assignment of
outputs, e.g.for acoustic or visual indicators (for MMI version “Inboard”
only).
y Standard MMI programs for materials handling and sorting. Adjustable
magnetic force and special programs for extended sorting (MMI Typ INT
MSF).
y Backwards-compatible/plug compatible with all earlier iMAPLA systems.
MMI control unit or service system tester can continue to be used.
y Overload-enabled/self-protecting from oversized or damaged lifting
magnets.
y Optional additional CAN Bus connection which can be programmed
application-specically in accordance with Standard J1939. It is possible to
establish adirect connection to the machine controller without the MMI.
Contact the particular manufacturer for the specication (Option from
iMAPLA series 2013and later for all performance categories).
