Safety instructions for operation
6 Operation
This chapter describes the operation of the iMAPLA system. Minor variations
in the operating procedures may arise depending on the MMI version.
Reference is made to these deviations in the corresponding chapters of this
manual.
Possible special functions through the use of MMIs with quickcouplers or
“INT MSF” version are explained in separate additional brief descriptions
(enclosed with the MMI).
Before using the system, read the safety instructions in this chapter and
follow the instructions and information therein.
6.1 Safety instructions for operation
Danger
Danger to life through electric shock
y
During operation, the power generation system generates
voltages that are potentially fatal.
► Work on the electrical installations and equipment must
only be carried out after the system has been switched o
and is de-energised.
► Switch o the drive unit before all inspection or
maintenance work on the generator or switch box. Secure
the drive unit before being switched on accidentally
(e.g.remove the ignition key and keep it in asafe place).
► During operation, never connect or disconnect plug
connections.
Danger
Danger to life through falling loads!
y
Suspended loads which fall mean an accident risk with danger
to life.
► Never walk or remain under suspended loads.
► Always observe the regulations of the trade association.
► Never switch on the lifting magnet when it is not needed
for the work.
