MAPLA- Modular energy supply system for load lifting magnets
Operation
Troubleshooting
6.10.7 Insulation faults arose
LEDs 4+5+6ash at the same time
If LEDs 4+5+6ash at the same time when switching on or operating the
machine, the built-in insulation monitor will detect an insulation fault. If this
message is active, amagnet restart block is automatically active, i.e. after
putting the load down, the operator is no longer able to switch the magnet
on again.
The insulation monitor (optional) oers additional protection and enables
the early detection of hidden faults/magnetic faults. An insulation monitor
oers the early detection of acritical fault with the connected load. If these
faults remain undetected and asecond fault arises in the system, this can
lead to uncontrolled shut-downs of the machine due to short circuits.
This message will not clear until after asystem restart.

Troubleshooting measures
> Switch o the drive unit and secure against being switched on again
(e.g.remove the ignition key and keep it in asafe place).
> Check the connection line to the magnet for abrasion/open contacts.
> Check the plug contacts to the magnet for water or clean and dry the plug
connections.
> When using turntable systems with slip rings, check the degree of wear for
dirt and moisture.
> Have the lifting magnet tested by an electrician for insulation faults using
an insulation tester with measurement voltage 500V d.c.
> Carry out the system restart.

> Check the system/magnets directly with anew load cable.
> If the fault persists, please get in touch with the manufacturer or aparty
authorised by the manufacturer.
