MAPLA- Modular energy supply system for load lifting magnets
Options and accessories
MMI with radio modem
11.1.5 Installing the radio MMI
The MMI is installed inside the cab within the driver's eld of vision to allow
him/her to monitor the indicated operating states. Either screw on with
4screws or secure with the aid of apermanently magnetised plate axed to
the reverse side.
Note
The radio MMI installed in the driver's cab needs its own power
supply from the on-board power supply which can be switched
o and is protected with afuse. Normally excavators have their
own terminal for such purposes behind the ignition lock- this is
separately fused and is switched via the ignition lock.
The supply voltage is also transmitted in the cable for the control button.

11.1.6 Installing the radio modem
The radio modem is attached in the vicinity of the switch box in
asuitable position. Either screw on with 4screws or secure with the aid of
apermanently magnetised plate axed to the reverse side.
Note
Choose asuitable installation site for the radio modem to allow
the aerial to receive radio waves unimpeded without their
separation. Apartition can arise e.g.when installing in an engine
compartment with very few openings which is fully surrounded
by metal.
