Function description
If the overload constraint is active, this is signalled to the machine driver on
the MMI control unit.
Ö MMI operating- and fault displays, page99
Newer MMI versions do not display the overload notication until the
overload values are unmistakable (>110 % of the generator's rated power).
In the event of afaulty lifting magnet/magnetic load, when the rated load
of the machine (>130-140 % of the generator's rated power) is exceeded
signicantly, aswitchover to the system fault takes place but not until the
operator has interrupted the load on the lifting magnet.
Ö MMI operating- and fault displays, page99
Note
If the lifting magnets are very cold, the overload warning may
light up on the MMI. However, this is only awarning from the
system which always runs in asafe operating state.
Once the lifting magnet heats up during cyclical energisation,
the warning should go away after atime. Depending on the type
of lifting magnet and the way of working, this may take from 5to
25minutes.
