iMAPLA system description
Function description
If the overload constraint is active, this is signalled to the machine driver on
the MMI control unit.
Ö MMI operating- and fault displays, page99
Newer MMI versions do not display the overload notication until the
overload values are unmistakable (>110 % of the generator's rated power).
In the event of afaulty lifting magnet/magnetic load, when the rated load
of the machine (>130-140 % of the generator's rated power) is exceeded
signicantly, aswitchover to the system fault takes place but not until the
operator has interrupted the load on the lifting magnet.

Note
If the lifting magnets are very cold, the overload warning may
light up on the MMI. However, this is only awarning from the
system which always runs in asafe operating state.
Once the lifting magnet heats up during cyclical energisation,
the warning should go away after atime. Depending on the type
of lifting magnet and the way of working, this may take from 5to
25minutes.
In case of doubt, contact the nearest service contact or
manufacturer.
