Installation and commissioning
Generator installation for iMAPLA 8, 13, 17and 20
Important
► The drive belt must not sag
loosely.
When using narrow belt pulleys of type SPA, the clearance between the axes
must not exceed 600mm. For permissible axis clearances for other belts, ask
the manufacturer.
Note
► For systems iMAPLA 8, 13, 17and 20, we generally recommend
you use high-performance belts/V-belts of types XPA or
AVX13.
Maximum tension force (tension) of drive belt on the shaft
Permissible load on the shaft
Fr
max
= 2,000N for iMAPLA 8and 13
Fr
max
= 3,000N for iMAPLA 17and 20
(measured in a50mm axial clearance
from the point where the shaft exits
the bearing plate.
If the belt pulley attachment to the shaft is
placed further out, reduce the tension of the belt
accordingly in order to balance out the increased
leverage eect on the shaft.
F
max
= 2000 N
