To ensure stability of the rack, install the slide rails to the lowest possible position when installin

switch on the rack. To install multiple switches on the rack, mount the heaviest switch at the bottom of the
rack.
Installing cage nuts for mounting brackets
Step1 Before mounting the chassis to the rack, install cage nuts to the front square-holed brackets of the rack.
As shown in Figure 11, dete
rmine the positions of the cage nuts according to the holes on the mounting
brackets and positions of the slide rails.
Step2 Install cage nuts on the square holes on each rack post, as shown in Figure 8.
