6.4.6 Backplane with Ethernet connection
A module with central gateway function can be used to connect a BPX back
plane to the PC: CX27C, MX471C, MXFS or CX22B-W. Please refer to the
respective data sheet for the maximum data throughput.
The IEEE1394b FireWire sockets on the backplane allow integration of distrib
uted modules into the system.
The individual modules can also be connected directly via Ethernet on the
back, with maximum sampling rate. In this case, no gateway is required.
