15 Transport, maintenance and cleaning
15.1 Transport
S Transport and store the weighing terminal only in the box provided, with the
molded foam packing. The device must not be exposed to any shock or
vibration.
S Storage temperature -25°C to +70°C at 95 % relative humidity, non-con
densing.
S Transport, storage and replacement of electrical components such as moth
erboards, EPROMs etc. only in suitable anti-static ESD packaging.
15.2 Maintenance
WARNING
Cut the power to the terminal before maintenance!
The device is largely maintenance-free. We recommend you carry out a visual
inspection at appropriate regular intervals (such as twice a year), depending on
usage. Particularly check all the connected cables for damage, and make sure
all plugs on peripheral devices are securely attached.
Maintenance of connected scale base units is necessary at intervals appropri
ate to usage. These units must be checked for foreign bodies, metal filings
etc., so as to prevent weights being corrupted. Calibration with legally verified
weights at regular intervals is recommended.
Operational checking can be carried out by way of the ServiceMode menu.
