This arrangement of indicators provides the highest visibility to personnel approaching the
scanner and performing tasks on or close to the scanner heads.
The top row sensor controls include radiation shutter indicators associated with the state
of the radiation sensors. Directly above the radiation warning triangle are the larger red,
shutter open, and green, all shutters closed, indicators. The main red light activates if any
of the nuclear or X-ray shutters have been commanded to open. Smaller red indicators
directly above the sensor enable buttons indicate which sensor shutter is commanded to
be in the open state. The sensor must be enabled prior to the shutter request.
Figure 56 shows the indicators on the scanner heads.
