4. Enter a value (in seconds) in the State Polling Frequency box.
The default state polling frequency is 15 seconds.
5. Enter the appropriate numeric value in the Number of Notications box.
6. Enter the company name in the Company box.
7. Enter the city and state where the VLS is located in the Location box.
8. Enter the VLS administrator’s name in the Contact box.
9. Enter the VLS administra tor’s phone number, including area c od e, in the Contact Phone box.
10. Enter the VLS administrator’s E-mail address in the E-mail box.
The E-mail a ddress entered is assigned to the Em ail Adm inistrator link on the Login window. Users
can click this link to send an E-mail to the administrator when they need help or are unable to log
in to Command View VLS.
11 . Click Apply Set tings.
Editing the default FC host port settings
OnlyedittheFChostportsettingsifyoudonotwanttousethedefaultsettings,ifsomesystemproblemis
occurring, or if the AUTO” setting is not working properly.
NOTE:
The values displayed under Actual are the actual values found by the VLS for the FC host port.
NOTE:
If you enter a value that is not supported by the FC port (for example, you enter Fabric in the T opology
column but the port uses the Loop topology), your entry remains in the Preferred box, but the Actual
column will display the correct value when Command View VLS performs its occasional status checks.
To change the default FC host port settings:
1. Open a Command View VLS session and log in as the administrator. See Opening a Command
View VLS session from Command View TL.
2. Click the System tab.
3. Expand Chassis in the navigation tree.
