8.3 Quickstart
8.3.1 Preparation
Unpacking, Mounting and Wiring the Servo Amplifier
1. Unpack servo amplifier and accessories
2. Observe safety instructions in the manuals
3. Mount the servo amplifier as described in chapter 6
4. Wire the servo amplifier as described in chapter 7 or apply the minimum wiring for drive
testing as described in chapter 8.3.1
5. Install the software as described in chapter 8.2
6. You need this information concerning the drive components:
- rated mains supply voltage
- motor type (motor data, if the motor type is not listed in the motor database,
see online help
- feedback unit built into the motor (type, poles, lines, protocol etc.)
- moment of inertia of the load
