Alternate Modulation Sources
AlternateModulationletsyouusecontrollers,envelopes,
LFOs,etc.tomodulateProgramparameters.Youcanuse
onecontrollertomodulatemultipleparameterssimultane
ously.Youcanalsocreatecomplexmodulationsetupsin
which(forexample)anenvelopemodulatesthefrequency
ofanLFO,andthatLFOisthenusedtomodulateafilter.
Programsprovide46types(84destinations)foralternate
modulation.
AMS Mixers
TheAMSMixerscombinetwoAMSsourcesintoone,or
processanAMSsourcetomakeitintosomethingnew.
Forinstance,theycanaddtwoAMSsourcestogether,oruse
oneAMSsourcetoscaletheamountofanother.Youcan
alsousethemtochangetheshapesofLFOsandEG
sinvari
ousways,modifytheresponseofrealtimecontrollers,and
more.
TheAMSMixeroutputsappearinthelistofAMSsources,
justliketheLFOsandEGs.
Theoriginal,unmodifiedinputstotheAMSMixersarestill
availableaswell.Forinstance,ifyouuseLFO1asaninput
toaAMSMixer
,youcanusetheprocessedversionofthe
LFOtocontroloneAMSdestination,andtheoriginalver
siontocontrolanother.
Finally,youcancascadetwoAMSMixerstogether,byusing
oneastheinputofanother.
