Differences from other Keyboard Tracks
ThereareseveraldifferencesbetweentheAmpkeyboard
trackingandtheFilterandCommonkeyboardtracking.
Forexample,theresultsoftheRampvaluesaredifferent.As
showninthegraphic“A m p KeyboardTracking,”below,
negativeslopesaremoresteepthanpositiveslopes.
Also,theampdoesnothaveseparatecontrolofIntensity
.
Instead,Intensityisalwaysfixedatthemaximumamount,
allowingkeyboardtrackingtochangethevolumefrom
completesilencetotwiceasloudastheprogrammedlevel.
Bottom-Low [–Inf, –99...+99, +Inf]
ThissetstheslopebetweenthebottomoftheMIDInote
rangeandtheKeyLowkey.Fornormalkeytrack,usenega
tivevalues.
Low-Center [–Inf, –99...+99, +Inf]
ThissetstheslopebetweentheKeyLowandCenterkeys.
Fornormalkeytrack,usenegativevalues.
Center-High [–Inf, –99...+99, +Inf]
ThissetstheslopebetweentheCenterandKeyHighkeys.

ighTopparameterwillbegrayedout.Simi
larly,ifyousetthe“LowCenter”rampto+Infor–Inf,the
“BottomLow”rampwillbegrayedout.
Amp KTrk is also an AMS source
YoucanusethekeyboardtrackingasanAMSsourceto
modulateotherparameters,justliketheenvelopesand
LFOs.SimplyselectAmpKTrkintheAMSlistforthe
desiredparameter.
Amp Modulation
YoucanmodulatetheAmplevelbybothvelocityandan
AMSsource.
ThismodulationscalesthebasicAmplevelandAmpEG
levelparameters.Theresultingvolumeisdeterminedby
multiplyingthevolumechangesoftheampEGbyother
valuessuchasAMS.Iftheseoriginallevelsarelow,the
maximumvolumeavailablewithmodulationwillalsobe
reduced.
Velocity
Intensity [–99...+99]
Withpositive(+)values,thevolumewillincreaseasyou
playharder.
Withnegative(–)values,thevolumewilldecreaseasyou
playharder.

ThisselectsanyAMSmodulationsourcetocontrolthe

Thiscontrolsthedepthanddirectionofthemodulation.
Forexample,if “A M S Source”issettoJS+Y:CC#01,positive

whenmovethejoystickinthe+Ydirection.
Notethatiftheothermodulationsettingshavealready
raisedthevolumetoitsma
ximumlevel(doubletheAmp
LevelandAmpEGlevelsettings),thevolumecannotbe
increasedanyfurther.
LFO1
Intensity [–99...+99]
ThiscontrolsthedepthanddirectionofLFO1’seffectonthe
oscillator svolume.
Negative(–)valueswillinverttheLFOwaveform.
