Operation
Tunnel Extension
The 1-foot screed extension is an option only available
on the HD815 (Heavy Duty) screed option. (Figure
4-79) This attachment allows material to ow while pav-
ing at wide widths.

To attach the tunnel extension:
1. Loosen the wing bolt on extension.
2. Remove the tube cover.
3. Slide tunnel extension into the tube.
4. Tighten the wing bolt.
One-Foot Screed Extension
The 1-foot screed extensions attach to the main screed
extensions, extending paving width from 15 - 17 feet
(4.57 - 5.18 meters).
To attach the 1-foot extension:
1. Extend both main screed extensions.
2. Remove both endgates.
3. Install each 1-foot extension on correct side.
4. When both are installed, set wearplates at with the
main extension using the vertical lift adjusters and
AOA adjuster. (Figure 4-78)
5. Reinstall endgate.
