Maintenance
Conveyor Drive Chain
Keep the conveyor drive chains clean, lubricated and
properly adjusted. The conveyor chain adjuster bolts
are easily reached via the access doors on both sides.
If the chains are loose, adjustment is necessary. (See
Page 5-33 for slack tension adjustment.)
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Open the engine access door on each side to
locate the conveyor drive chain bolts.
3. Loosen the jam nuts on the chain adjuster. (Figure
5-4)

4. Turn the chain adjuster to loosen or tighten the
chain, leaving approximately 1/4-inch of slack. DO
NOT overtighten.
5. Retighten jam nuts.
6. Repeat steps on the opposite conveyor drive chain.
Auger Drive Chain Adjustment
The auger chains should be snug, not loose. (See Page
5-33 for slack tension adjustment.) If the chains need
to be tightened, follow this procedure:
1. Loosen the motor bolts on the right and left auger
chains. (Figure 5-5)
2. Loosen jam nuts and turn the tension adjusters
counterclockwise to tighten chains.
3. Once adjusted, retighten motor bolts and jam nuts.
